From Edge to Cloud: Circle B, MiTAC and Rittal team up at the upcoming OCP Regional Summit in the Amsterdam RAI

Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  September 9, 2019: – Taurus Group company Circle B who is one of Europe’s only OCP Solutions Providers is teaming up with industry leading server and storage solutions provider, MiTAC Computing Technology Corp.(MiTAC) and rack enclosure manufacturer Rittal to jointly exhibit at the booth # A17 and #A18 in the upcoming OCP Regional Summit on September 26 & 27, 2019 at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre. The Open Compute Project (OCP) Regional Summit is Europe’s premier showcase of the hardware solutions that are employed by cloud hyperscale companies such as Facebook and Google to deploy large scale data center server infrastructure. Now in its second edition, the summit is expected to be visited by approximately 800 people from corporations ranging from telecommunications to banking. OCP is seen by many to be the future standard of data center infrastructure design, therefore many corporates are taking a close look at what there is to offer.

OCP hardware differs greatly from traditional server infrastructure in terms of look and size but brings with it several benefits including greater energy efficiency, easier accessibility to components and quicker installation times. Another key advantage of OCP is hardware is that customers can avoid vendor lock ins and use commodity components in the servers. Circle B as an OCP Silver Member is vendor neutral in terms of the architectures it designs.

MiTAC and Circle B’s joint booth #A17 will be demonstrating complete OCP main stream products including Intel and AMD servers, JBOF storage and rack solutions.

During the summit, visitors will have the opportunity to see the building blocks of OCP and to find our more detailed information. OCP Platinum Member, MiTAC, is operating a lab during the exhibition for visitors to see their hardware in action.  Circle B, in conjunction with OCP Gold Member, Rittal, and maincubes Amsterdam Data Center AMS01 offer a unique chance for interested visitors to the Summit to experience a live OCP installation at maincubes Amsterdam airport data center. Visit Circle B’s website for more information for this after-hours event.

Any potential customer for OCP can expect to be fully supported in the process. Circle B is open to discuss directly with the customer on the hardware design for the solution. In consultation with server and storage manufacturers like MiTAC together with Rittal (for racks & enclosures) Circle B will offer the customer an effective hardware design and quotation. Finally, a customer can choose to host their OCP environment in maincubes Data Center AMS01, capable of converting its colocation and dedicated suits to cater for OCP infrastructure.

The 2019 OCP Regional Summit is located at: Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, Europaplein 2-22, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, Netherlands. The summit & exhibition occurs on the September 26 & 27, 2019. REGISTER HERE.
